Message from owner Lynn DePass:

Hello, I'm Lynn, the mother of Ali, that precious Maltipoo, featured on the logo and website. I created the Cross UR Harness out of necessity, to protect my “furry child" from injury. We are all familiar with that choking sensation a pet experiences when they pull against their leash, well Ali was no exception. While on our walks, if Ali started pulling, the next thing I knew, she was choking. So I bought one of those popular style harnesses made of webbing, but the neck strap still rode up her throat, choking her. Then I tried a harness vest, thinking this would spread the forces more to her body and not her neck; I was wrong. The neck strap also put pressure on her delicate little trachea, choking her until she popped the Velcro open. So I searched the web, trying to find a collar/harness that did not encircle the neck, but couldn't find one. Using my studies in Biomechanics, the concept of spreading the forces over a larger surface area of bone, and a strap that did not encircle the neck, I came up with the straps that crisscross the chest. Then using my creative talents I inherited from my mother, Alice (Ali's name sake and clothing designer whose shop designed and made Debutante dresses and Mardi Gras Queen's gowns in New Orleans), I invented the stylish designer Cross UR Harness. Let me say that without trial and error, using Ali and the other neighborhood pups to test the designs, not to mention how very patient Ali was as a model, the Cross UR Harness would not have been made!

RomeoI'm proud to announce that Ali now has Romeo, my little 3 month old male Maltipoo (also featured on this site). He just recently joined our family, and we hope they will be blessed with puppies in the near future. So, if you are looking for a Maltipoo of your own, please check back soon!

Now, Ali and Romeo enjoy long walks in their one-of-a-kind Cross UR Harness vests.

Warmest regards,
Lynn DePass
